At least five student travel grants of $500 each will be awarded to graduate and undergraduate students attending the Urban Food Systems Symposium.

Eligibility
- Current undergraduate and graduate students working in Urban Food Systems or a related field
- Successfully submitted abstract prior to applying for a travel grant
Criteria For Selecting Travel Grant Awardees
All applications are scored on a 40 point scale as given below:
- Statement of interest: This should include: why you are interested in Urban Food Systems, what your career plans are, and how the symposium will help you develop your professional goals. (maximum 2500 characters) – 30 points
- Written quality of submitted abstract – 10 points
Travel grants will be distributed at the Urban Food Systems Symposium. Each student must pay to register and attend the Symposium in order to receive his or her check (the check will be in the registration packet).
