Friday Night Dinner Banquet

Attendees can come and enjoy live acoustic music and then an excellent meal prepared with local-grown food by Chef Peter Kiger. The dinner speaker, Wayne Roberts, is a noted Canadian food policy analyst and writer.  After dinner, boogie down with the musical stylings of Elgin Smith as he unleashes a collection of jazz, funk, and soul records that are sure to keep your feet moving. Cash bar will be available.

He will share his observations about North American and global trends affecting food studies and public health movements at this time, the opportunities and challenges that have been identified at the conference, and what he sees as unique opportunities available to students and teachers in Kansas.
